The capital of Bihar, the second largest populated state of India has urban population of 50 lakhs. Average literacy rate is 64%. Patna happens to be the hub of the preparation center for various Competitive exams for Bihar, its adjacent states and Nepal. In Bihar, this Year approximately 3.5 lakhs students are going to appear at the Intermediate examination and more than 1.5 lakhs student will appear for the C.B.S.E., I.C.S.E., & N.I.O.S., etc.

The scenario of the professional courses in the state is as follows in Engineering 4 Govt. colleges and 4 private colleges with total 1903 Seats, in M.C.A. only 3 colleges with a capacity of 120 students. Applied arts & architecture has only 1 institution with 22 seats. There is a shortage of institutions even in biotechnology, I.T.E.S., Hotel Management and other job oriented courses. Due to inadequate infrastructure to conduct professional courses, every year there is a mass migration of students to other states. So, there is a huge potential for educational alliances in professional & job oriented courses with existing colleges and institutions of Bihar.
