MVVNL a U.P. Government under taking is subsidiary unit of Power Corporation Limited Lucknow for Distribution of power to all categories of electricity consumer of four commissionaries namely Lucknow, Faizabad, Devipatan, and Bareilly. It is serving over 26.07 lacs of Consumers in the district of Ambedkar Nagar, Faizabad, Gonda, Balrampur, Baharaich, Shrawasti, Barabanki, Sultanpur, Raibarelli, Sitapur, Unnao, Hardoi, Lakhimpur, Pilbhit, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Badaun and in the state capital Lucknow. It started functioning as an independent Distribution company in July 2003. Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma, I.A.S. as Managing Director. MVVNL is serving its Consumers having connected load of 5038 MW and the annual turn over of Approx. Rs. 1939 Crore.
